For thirty years and counting, I’ve put my editing skills at the service of writers creating everything from cookbooks to poetry manuscripts to books of sports jokes. I’ve also worked in web content development, turning masses of raw information into clean, persuasive copy, and I taught college composition and creative writing classes for thirteen years. I’m fast, widely experienced, and efficient. I will work with you to bring out the best in your writing, from advising on game mechanics and content to helping you decide whether you want a colon or an em dash between those clauses.
I can work at any level you need:
- Developmental editing: advising on core content issues — plot for fiction, mechanics and lore for games, etc., as well as making major changes to the writing itself
- Copyediting: advising on style, idiomatic usage, organization, and so forth
- Proofreading: checking spelling, punctuation, and grammar
When writing to request a quote, please specify the type of editing that interests you and describe your project. What is it, where are you at with it, and what kind of help do you want?
I specialize in editing tabletop role-playing games, but don’t let that stop you if you need help with something else!
